The Heritage Centre in Bellingham preserves and displays the heritage of the North Tyne and Redewater and currently has special displays about the Border Counties Railway, local mining, border reivers and the photographs of local chemist W P Collier. It is open from the end of March to end of October. The helpful, and knowledgeable, staff can arrange guided tours or assist with other enquiries. Food and drinks are available from the Carriages Tea Room which is open daily (except for Christmas day).
