St Aidan's Church in Thorneyburn, Tarset is located in Falstone with Greystead and Thorneyburn parish. This is in the North Tyne and Redesdale Team churches under Bellingham Deanery in the Diocese of Newcastle of the Church of England. The rector is The Revd Dr Susan Ramsaran. The Church Wardens are Caroline Waitt and Gillian Liddle.
The church was built in 1818 by the Greenwich Hospital Commissioners to provide a living for ex Royal Navy Chaplains after the Napoleonic Wars.
St Aidan's Bicentenary 2018
The church held its bicentenary celebrations over the weekend of 3-5th August 2018:
Friday 3rd August, Open House at Greystead Old Church
Saturday 4th August, Parish Garden Party at Thorneyburn Old Rectory
Saturday 4th August, Talk and Service
Sunday 5th August, Thanksgiving Service and BBQ
