Falstone Border Shepherds Show

Falstone Border Shepherds' Show, established in 1885, is held in late August every year. Tarset farmers and other local people help organise, take part, act as judges, visit and compete in the many categories including sheep, sheepdogs, hounds, terriers, sticks, flowers, bread, knitting, baking, children's work, hound puppy walkers and, in 2008, imitation feathered friend. Other attractions include sheepdog trials, fell race, vintage tractor display, prize draw, adults' & children's sports, local produce, food and refreshments.

The Falstone Show has its own website:

Categories, winners and photographs from previous Falstone Shows are available on the archive pages.
