The Greenhaugh Walks Project produced a series of walks in a compact format.
Each of the seven scenic walks has a detailed map and descriptions of the scenery, building, flora, fauna and building you will see. It was conceived and written by A. J. Murray.
"Having lived in the Tarset Valley all my life, the landscape, the wildlife and the people were all very special to me. I hope that you enjoy walking these walks as much as I have enjoyed writing about them."
The seven walks are:
- To Boughthill and Thorneyburn (2½ miles/4 km)
- Along the riverside to Redmire (2¼ miles/3½ km)
- To Gatehouse past The Sneep (3 miles/5 km)
- To Sundaysight via High Green (8 miles/13 km)
- Through Sidwood to Slatyford (6 miles/10 km)
- Past the Comb to the site of Sidwood House (7½ miles/12 km)
- Through Lanehead to Thorneyburn Church (4 miles/ 6½ km).
"Walks around Greenhaugh" is available from Northumberland National Park visitor centres and from the National Park Online Store.
The profits from the sale of the guide are used to fund conservation projects within the Northumberland National Park.
